A day without a bunch of Mexicans
Or as Jay Leno put it tonight, “…Don’t take your immigrant to work day.”
I guess when I heard about immigrants not going to work and school on May 1st, I expected to notice. But I didn’t. At least not in my neck of the woods. In fact, I forgot all about this until tonight. I managed to get a Subway for dinner, went to the gas station for necessities and whatnot, all without a glitch.
However I don’t live in East L.A., or Washington, so that may be the reason I didn’t notice anything.
Michelle Malkin’s Hot Air has video of today’s shenannigans, complete with crowds taking over streets, waving upside down U.S. flags and banners of Che Guevera.
What’s up with Che Guevera anyway? Is he like the Christ of the Moonbats? You’d think the guy had a sold out European tour, the way people still wave his likeness around and shout his name. The last time this guy had his picture taken, his hands were chopped off and he was dead. But nooooo, people act as if he still lives! Then someone had to make a big epic movie about him. Get over it people!
Top that all off with people singing our national anthem in Spanish, calling it their own. So far no refute on that.
PS - Yes that is a toilet brush in her hand!

I don’t see the problem with a national anthem being sung in another language. Exactly what’s the problem? This has been going on with government encouragement in Canada for over a hundred years and the country hasn’t come crashing down. Quite the opposite, today our currency is worth .9 of 1 US$, a level it hasn’t been at in about 30 years.

What’s Canada got to do with anything? *Chuckle*
Yes I agree about the US Dollar. We need to bring back the gold standard.
But that’s got squat to do with my point. I wasn’t screeching about the country crashing down, I was just saying that yes, OK, so America is the ultimate melting pot.‚Â However, if you were an illegal immigrant and went to France and tried this national anthem shit over there, I can assure you that it would NOT fly.
However, it’s not just being sung in Spanish. There’s other stuff in it. According to a few people I trust. I need to get the lyrics and their translation and post them.

Speaking of Che, you should check out Andy Garcia’s movie “The Lost City”. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0343996/
The liberal press has universally panned it as it goes against the generally held myth that Castro and Che were liberators instead of the evil opportunistic murderous thugs they really are.
I’m going to rent it myself this weekend.
Here’s a cool link to check out:
